Honesty

We communicate openly. We solicit and provide feedback, seek to understand and express ourselves through active listening to ensure complete understanding of perspective. We encourage and are open to new ideas and methodologies, fostering a climate that allows risk taking and freedom to learn from experience, while striving for excellence. We are free to make honest and sincere expression without fear of bias, prejudice or malice. We encourage and value honesty and candor from associates, colleagues, and clients.

Empathy

We act with sensitivity to the fact that our recommendations and actions may alter the lives and well-being of people within our client systems. We respect the fundamental rights, dignity, and worth of all people, including rights to privacy, confidentiality, and self-determination. We are sensitive to cultural and individual differences, including those due to age, sex, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and socioeconomic status. We adapt methods to the needs of different organizations and cultures.

Responsibility

We accept responsibility for our behavior and decisions. We possess an exceptional basis for professional judgments. Objectivity

We recognize our own personal needs and desires and deal with them responsibly in the performance of our roles. We serve the long-term well-being, interests, and development of the client system and all its stakeholders, even when the work has a short-term focus. We avoid having multiple relationships with clients that impair professional judgment. We deal with conflicts constructively and avoid conflicts of interest. We do not exploit or mislead clients or customers during and after professional relationships.

Integrity

We conduct our business with honesty, fairness, and respect in interactions with both clients and peers. We work truthfully, thereby avoiding false, misleading, or deceptive statements when describing or reporting qualifications, services, products, or fees.

Competence

We provide services within the boundaries of our education, training, and experience. We stay abreast of current information in the field and participate in ongoing professional efforts to maintain our competence.
